Man dies after being struck by HGV in collision near Leicestershire border

A man has died following a collision near the Leicestershire[1] border. The incident happened on the A14 westbound, near the Catthorpe interchange, at around 3.35pm yesterday (Wednesday, March 5). Police said a man had got out of a vehicle and was in a lay-by when he was hit by a Volvo HGV.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Northamptonshire Police is appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident, which happened on the westbound carriageway, to come forward.
