Man in hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after crash on M11

A man was taken to hospital with 'serious injuries' after a crash on the M11 in Cambridgeshire[1]. The crash took place on the M11 Northbound[2] at Duxford on Monday evening (March 3). Emergency services were called to the area at around 5pm after receiving reports of a crash between a lorry and a van.

The driver of the van, a man in his 40s from Huntingdon, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital[3], where he remains. The driver of the lorry did not receive any injuries and stayed at the scene. The road was closed to allow for the vehicles to be recovered.

The police have issued an appeal for dashcam footage from anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash. A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We were called at about 5pm yesterday (3 March) with reports of a collision between a van and a lorry on the M11 northbound at Duxford. "Emergency services attended and the driver of the van, a man in his 40s from Huntingdon[4], was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious injuries where he remains.

"The driver of the lorry was unhurt and remained at the scene. The road was closed while recovery took place but has since reopened. "Officers are appealing for dashcam footage from anyone who may have been driving along the M11 near Duxford yesterday evening around the time of the collision or just before.
