Man seriously injured after being hit by Skoda on M4 slip road

A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car on an M4 slip road. Wiltshire Police have launched an investigation after two crashes which closed the motorway last night, Thursday, March 6.[1][2] The force said an empty and unlit green Vauxhall Corsa was reported to be stationary in a live lane on the eastbound carriageway near Leigh Delamere services at 7.31pm.

Shortly after, a Ford Transit van crashed into the back of the stationary Vauxhall, injuring three people. Then, shortly after 8pm, a man wearing dark clothing was hit by a Skoda on the entrance slip to the westbound services on the other side of the M4[3]. Police believe that man had been driving the Vauxhall Corsa and crossed the motorway on foot.
