Motoring offences dealt with by Mold Magistrates Court
They include... Bhupinder Singh, aged 53 and of Talbot Road, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, was sentenced for exceeding a 20mph speed limit on the A5104 at Pontybodkin in June last year. The court issued six penalty points, which resulted in a six month driving ban for the defendant, as well as a GBP256 fine, GBP110 costs and GBP102 victim surcharge.
Christopher Mckay, aged 40 and of Bilberry Grove, Buckley, was sentenced for two offences of exceeding a 20mph speed limit on the A5104 at Pontybodkin in June last year. McKay received a GBP120 fine and six penalty points on each of the two offences, and must pay GBP110 costs on each as well. The court opted not to ban him from driving due to his mitigating circumstances, namely that he "would not be able to attend medical appointments" which he must attend at least three times a week, and he can't use public transport "due to cross-infection."
Jordan Jones, aged 30 and of Vyrnwy Road, Oswestry, was sentenced for failing to stop after a road accident in Chirk on July 21 last year, as well as failing to report that accident, driving without insurance and driving without due care and attention. Fines totalling GBP1,100 were imposed, in addition to eight penalty points, GBP110 costs and a GBP381 victim surcharge. John Hands, aged 65 and of Thelwall Close, Leigh, was sentenced for failing to stop after a road accident in Rhos on July 30 last year, failing to report that accident and driving without due care and attention.
The court issued fines totalling GBP506, as well as six penalty points GBP110 costs and a GBP202 victim surcharge. William Harris, aged 26 and of Glan Yr Afon, Bwlchgwyn, was sentenced for failing to stop after a road accident in Minera on September 15 last year, as well as failing to report that accident afterwards. He received seven penalty points, which led to him being banned for six months.
Harris must also pay a GBP180 fine and GBP110 costs. MORE NEWS Victoria Moran, aged 26 and of Royal Avenue, Widnes, was sentenced for exceeding a 50mph speed limit on the a483 in Wrexham on June 29 last year.
She must pay a GBP71 fine and a GBP28 victim surcharge. The court also imposed three penalty points. John Billings, aged 42 and of Tullygaravan Mill, Ballygowan, was sentenced for exceeding a 50mph speed limit on the A483 at Wrexham in June last year.
The court issued a fine of GBP133 and three penalty points, as well as ordering the defendant to pay GBP110 costs and a GBP53 victim surcharge. Joshua Evans, aged 23 and of Hampson Avenue, Wrexham, was sentenced for exceeding a 60mph speed limit on the A5 at Halton in June last year. He was fined GBP73 and received three penalty points.
The court also ordered him to pay a GBP29 victim surcharge.
