Oil spillage causes delays in Watford A41 as man injured
At around 9.20am today (March 4) Herts Police were called with reports that a white transit van and a grey Audi A3 had been involved in a smash in the A41, at the junction with Woodmere Avenue. One man has been taken to hospital with minor injuries. The East of England Ambulance Service called Fire Control for assistance at 9.32am, as the smash had caused an oil spillage.
One fire engine was sent from Garston Fire Station, in St Albans Road, and the crew were able to make the area safe.
There were long delays in the A41, stretching back to The Dome roundabout and adding more than 10 minutes to journey times, following the spill.
Traffic has largely cleared since the area was made safe.
