Paramedics treat moped rider after A53 van crash

Paramedics have treated a moped rider after a collision with a van. The crash blocked the A53 Leek Road, through Endon[1], during this morning's rush-hour. StokeonTrentLive is still awaiting a statement from Staffordshire Police[2] following this morning's collision.

But West Midlands Ambulance Service[3] has confirmed it sent one ambulance to the scene. An ambulance service spokesman said: "We were called at 8.40am to a road traffic collision involving a moped and a van at the junction of Brookfield Avenue and Leek Road. One ambulance attended the scene.

Upon arrival we found a man who was the driver of the moped. He was assessed and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious. He received treatment at the scene and received self-care advice before being discharged."

Any witnesses to the collision can call the police on 101.
