Person taken to hospital after A14 lorry crash stopped traffic near Cambridge

A person was taken to hospital after a lorry and car crashed on a Cambridgeshire[1] A-road. The crash happened on the A14[2] near Milton[3] at around 2.15pm on Thursday (March 20). A lane was closed while emergency services responded.

There were long queues of stationary traffic in the area during the lane closure. Cambridgeshire Police confirmed that the crash involved a lorry and a car, and said vehicles needed to be removed from the road. All lanes were open and traffic had returned to normal before 3.40pm.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called just before 2.15pm to a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a car on the A14 near Milton. An ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene. "One patient was transported to Addenbrooke's Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
