Police find weapons during Ronkswood drugs raid

Officers carried out drugs warrants at two homes in Liverpool Road, Ronkswood, following reports of concerns about drug dealing in the area. A baseball bat and a knife were found at one property, while scales and a suspected burner phone were found at the other. There was also a note and notebook, which officers suspect contain details of drug dealing.

The items were seized as evidence.

The operation involved officers from Warndon Safer Neighbourhood Team, Task Force and Local Policing Priorities Team were Police sergeant Brian Simpkins of Warndon Safer Neighbourhood Team said:"This morning we executed two drugs warrants in Liverpool Road in response to community concerns around illegal dealing.

"Warrants like these show we will always act on public concerns and develop intelligence when it is presented to us.

"Disrupting suspected drug dealing networks are key to our ongoing efforts to tackle their illegal enterprises and the harmful impact they have on our communities."
