Thomas Barbour, of Lancaster Street, Barrow, 'deliberately ignored the rules of the road' whilst putting 'the lives of other motorists and pedestrian at risk', South Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard.

Walney businessman avoids ban for being drunk in charge of vehicle A BUSINESS owner has avoided a driving disqualification after he was caught over the legal alcohol limit whilst in charge of his vehicle. Michael Elliot, 35, of Blackbutts Lane on Walney, had been out drinking with friends on the evening of January 11 last month when he drove to his partner's home around 00:30 am, South Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard.
