Three vehicle crash marks fifth incident on A14 in 24 hours

Drivers faced delays following a closure on the A14 due to a three vehicle crash. The incident is the fifth crash on the road in 24 hours. National Highways updated social media, confirming that the road is now fully open again.

Police received reports of a crash involving two cars and a lorry at around 6.30am near Stowupland between junction 50 Stowmarket and junction 51 Needham Market. A police spokesman confirmed the eastbound carriageway had been closed after the crash damaged the central reservation. No injuries have been reported and Highways will arrive to fix the damage.

The AA traffic map shows heavy delays in the area.
