Where camera vans clocked the most speeders on Norfolk roads last month

Roadside operations by the Norfolk and Suffolk Safety Camera Partnership covered main routes including the A11 and A47 as well as smaller routes in numerous towns and villages across the county. The biggest speeding hotspot in February was the A47 at Postwick on the outskirts of Norwich where 520 motorists were detected to be travelling over the limit.   That was more than double the number at the highest location on the A11 at Snetterton where 252 were clocked.

Other check locations that saw more than 100 speeders hit with fixed penalty notices were Wymondham with 158, Hethersett 132 and Hopton on Sea 114. Camera vans are often deployed on bridges overlooking motorways to use video speed monitoring tech.

Motorists caught are sent a notice of intended prosecution but for more serious speeding offences, the police may choose to take your case straight to court.
