Woman, 52, dies in horror crash with lorry and car as Scots road remains locked down
WOMAN has died and a man is in hospital following a horror crash involving a lorry. Emergency services[1] rushed to the scene on the A947 Aberdeen to Banff road, just north of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire[2], earlier this morning[3].

Police have issued an appeal for those who might have been in the areaCredit: AlamyThe collision[4] involved a red Fiat[5] 500 car[6] and a white Scania HGV lorry at around 8am. The driver of the Fiat, a 52-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed. The 60-year-old male driver of the lorry was taken to Aberdeen Royal[7] Infirmary.
