A15 live traffic updates as road closed after two-vehicle crash near Welton Cliff

The A15[1] was closed in both directions due to a crash. The road closed[2] shortly before 8.30am today (Tuesday, April 8) after two vehicles were involved in a collision near Welton Cliff. The road remained closed in both directions between Heath Lane, Welton Cliff and Cliff Road, Ingham until around 10.30am. There was slow traffic in the area due to the accident.

Lincolnshire Police said that the collision, which involved Ford Transit Van and a Seat Alhambra, had not caused any serious injuries. The road was shut while recovery work took place. An update on traffic monitoring site Inrix at 8.40am stated: "A15 in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident, two vehicles involved from Heath Lane (Welton Cliff) to Cliff Road (Ingham)."

Traffic has since returned to normal in the area.
