Appeal after motorcyclist dies in A10 crash between motorbike and Tesco van near Foxton

An appeal has been launched after a 22-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision on the A10 today (Friday, 11 April). Officers and paramedics were called to the A10 junction with Shepreth Road in Foxton at about 8.40am.

A white Iveco Tesco van travelling northbound was involved in a collision with a green Kawasaki motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction. The rider, a 22-year-old man, from Cambridge, later died at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and his family has been informed.

A 52-year-old man, from Royston, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody. Detective Sergeant Craig Wheeler said: "I would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with dashcam who hasn't already spoken with officers at the scene." Anyone with information or dashcam footage should use reference 35/25884/25 and report it through the force website[1].
