Boy, 14, killed in van motorway crash
A 14-year-old boy was killed when a van he was a passenger in left a motorway and crashed into a tree, police have said.
Emergency services were called just after 12:15 BST on Sunday after the Peugeot van left the southbound M6 between junctions 34 and 33 in Lancashire.
Lancashire Police said the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
His father, a man in his 30s who was driving the van, suffered serious injuries and has been taken to hospital, the force said.
