Couple suffer ‘massive shock’ and multiple broken bones in horror crash on way back from airport

A couple have been left with multiple broken bones after a horror crash on the M6[1], their family say. The pair, both 63, were on their way back from the airport in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday) when a lorry collided with them on the northbound stretch of the motorway[2] in Cheshire. They then hit the central reservation before being struck by a second vehicle, it is claimed.

Emergency services raced to the scene and the pair were rushed to hospital.

A police investigation is underway.
