‘Definitely murder’ says mum of victim in M6 crash that killed Glasgow family
The heartbroken mum of a victim of the M6 crash that killed a Glasgow[1] family has said their deaths were 'definitely murder'. Marie McEnroe spoke as coroner Margaret Taylor recorded conclusions of 'unlawful killing[2]' with regard to the incident following an inquest at Cockermouth Coroners Court. Marie's daughter Jade McEnroe was killed alongside partner Jaroslaw Rossa, 42, and Mr Rossa's sons Filip, 15 and Dominic, seven, all from Glasgow.
Miss McEnroe's son Arran, seven, survived the crash and was pulled out of the burning car by a workman who jumped out of his Transit van and used a jack to smash the rear windscreen of Mr Rossa's Toyota Yaris. The inquest heard that former RAF pilot Richard Woods would have been charged with manslaughter had he not died in the crash, the Daily Record reports[3]. ADVERTISEMENT
