Driver has ‘very lucky’ escape after crash in Staffordshire leaves car crumpled

Staffordshire Police[1]'s roads crime team said officers were called to a two vehicle crash on the A5 this morning (Tuesday). Posting a picture of a crumpled car, they said the driver was very lucky to walk away with just a scratch 'having not seen the stationary HGV'. An air ambulance was also called to the scene.

Staffordshire Police[2]'s roads crime team posted on X: "This morning we have attended a 2 vehicle collision on the A5 in @southstaffs[3], along with @MAACharity[4]. "The driver was very lucky to walk away with just a scratch having not seen the stationary HGV.

"Time to put lottery numbers on."
