Lorry driver flees Woodhead Pass crash scene after smashing into wall

Officers are searching for a lorry driver who crashed into a wall on Woodhead Pass[1] overnight. The key road between Tameside[2] and South Yorkshire has been closed this morning (April 1)[3] while 'extensive clean-up' works take place. Emergency services were called out to the A628 Woodhead Pass in the Crowden area of Derbyshire[4] at around 1.20am.
