M6 live updates as closure in place after ‘lorry shed its load’
A lorry has shed its load on the M6, causing lanes to close. Drivers are facing queues on the M6 and A49 near Wigan following a crash. Officers have closed off the entry slip road for the M6 southbound at junction 25, near Bryn, this morning (April 2).
According to the Inrix traffic monitoring system, a lorry has shed its load in the area. Traffic cameras show heavy traffic on the M6 southbound between junctions 26, at the M58 Orrell Interchange, and junction 25. Two lanes are currently closed.
An update from Inrix said: "M6 Southbound entry slip road closed slow traffic, two lanes closed due to shed load at J25 (Bryn). The entry slip road and two lanes closed on the main carriageway." We will be bringing you the latest updates on this here.
