Motorcyclist killed in Cambridgeshire crash with Tesco van

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a Tesco van on the A10. Police were called to the scene in Foxton on Friday morning (April 11). Cambridgeshire[1] Constabulary said a white Iveco Tesco[2] van travelling northbound was involved in a collision with a green Kawasaki motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.

The rider, a 22-year-old man from Cambridge, later died at Addenbrooke's Hospital. His family has been informed. A 52-year-old man, from Royston, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the crash at the junction with Shepreth Road at just before 8.40am.

Detective Sergeant Craig Wheeler said: "I would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with dashcam who hasn't already spoken with officers at the scene."

Anyone with information or dashcam footage should use reference 35/25884/25 and report it through the force website.[3] Reports can also be made by calling 101.
