Pedestrians seriously injured by car in Luton following suspected nightclub row
Two men have been seriously injured after a car struck several pedestrians in the early hours.
Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened in Luton.
They said emergency services were called to Chapel Street at 3.28am on Saturday, following reports that a white Fiat 500 had collided with several pedestrians.
Two men, both in their 30s, were taken to hospital where they remain with serious non-life threatening injuries.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and drink driving. He remains in police custody.
Police have sealed off the area from the Flowers Way junction.
They said the incident was not terror related.
Det Sgt Emma Janes, investigating, said: "We are working to establish the events that led up to the collision, and believe it may be linked to an earlier altercation in Kumba Lounge.

"It's particularly important that we speak to anyone who was directly involved in the collision, even if you weren't injured. Any witnesses from inside the bar are also asked to come forward."
