Picture shows extent of crash on Derbyshire road as two taken to hospital
A dramatic image shows the extent of a crash that briefly closed a Derbyshire [1]road this week. Officers were called to the A5012 Via Gellia[2] near Ball Eye Quarry, Cromford, to reports of a crash at around 10am on Thursday (April 3). An image from the scene shows a dark-coloured pickup truck and a white hatchback blocking the road on a bend, with around half a dozen firefighters[3] in attendance. Police [4]have now confirmed that the crash involved a Ssangyong Musso and a Volkswagen Golf.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We received reports of a collision on the A5012 Via Gellia near Ball Eye Quarry just before 10am on Thursday. The collision involved a Ssangyong Musso and a VW Golf." ADVERTISEMENT
