Police investigation after pedestrian dies in hospital following Staffordshire road collision
The man sadly died in hospital following the collision in Endon in Staffordshire[1]. Emergency crews were called at 12.30pm on Thursday (April 10) to the A53 Leek Road where a black Renault traffic van was involved in a collision with a pedestrian. The pedestrian, aged in his 90s, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Sadly, he has since died. His next of kin are being supported by specialist officers. The van driver, who was not injured, remained at the scene and is assisting officers.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police[2] said: "We are continuing to investigate what happened and are keen to speak to anyone who may have relevant dashcam, CCTV and doorbell footage of the area at the time of the collision.
