Ambulances, police and the fire service were called to the scene

A 38-year-old lorry driver from Cambridge has been arrested[1] on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following the incident. Emergency services were called at about 9.25pm on Tuesday (22 April) and the road was closed until about 8pm on Wednesday.

A vehicle fire broke out following the crash. National Highways said the road was closed eastbound between junctions 34 and 35 for a long period due to the "complex police investigation work". Diversion routes were put in place.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the vehicles in the moments leading up to the incident.

They would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time with dash cam footage.

Anyone with information should report it online at www.cambs.police.uk[2] or call 101 quoting incident 547 of 22 April.
