Worcester Road: Two men hurt after crash between car and van
The collision, involving a van and a car, happened on the Worcester Road on Tuesday morning (April 29). The driver of the van was trapped in the vehicle and was rescued by firefighters at the scene. A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC on Worcester Road near Shenstone, Kidderminster at 6.48am.
"Two ambulances were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a car and a van had been involved in a collision. "Two men were treated for potentially serious injuries and were both conveyed to Worcester Royal Hospital. A spokesperson for the fire brigade said: "Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews - one each from Bromsgrove and Wyre Forest Fire Stations - were called at 06:45 on 29 April to an RTC involving a car and a van on the A450 Worcester Road, Kidderminster.
"The car driver had self-extricated before the arrival of the fire service, the van driver was physically trapped and released by fire service personnel and handed over to the care of the ambulance service, who attended along with police".
The road has been closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
