Heartbreaking tributes have been pouring in for a beloved dad killed in a horror motorway crash,

Kevin Rylance, 49, died after emergency services were called to the M53 after a crash near to junction 6 for the Eastham interchange at around 8.15am on Thursday, May 8.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after a report that a white Peugeot van had been in a crash with a red VW car near to the Eastham exit of the M53.

Kevin's family have described him as a "loving" and "caring" man.

In a tribute, they said: "A loving husband and the best dad two kids could've ever asked for.

"A hardworking, caring man and everyone who has ever met him will miss him dearly.

We will miss you forever."

Merseyside Police confirmed the driver of the car stopped at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash, reports the ECHO[1].

?Inspector Ian Cowell of Merseyside Police's roads policing previously said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family at this sad time and they are being supported by specialist officers.

"It is now a priority for us to get answers for them about how the collision occurred and my team are working to establish key facts.

"This collision happened on a busy part of the motorway network.

"Early enquiries show there were a number of vehicles in the area at that time, and I believe it may have been witnessed by members of the public or have been captured on dash cameras.

"I would appeal directly to anyone who saw anything and who has yet to speak with my team to please get in touch."
