Funeral arrangements confirmed for Nethy Bridge motorcyclist killed in accident
The funeral arrangements for a Nethy Bridge motorcyclist killed in an accident with an HGV in Moray have been confirmed. Colin Vaughan (64) was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the A940 near Logie on Saturday May 10. The crash occurred at around 6.30pm.
The male driver and female passenger of the HGV were not injured. It is understood that Mr Vaughan, of Fasgadh, Blairgorm, worked for many years at Cairngorm Mountain as a Kassbohrer snow vehicle driver.
His funeral will take place on Friday May 30th at 11am at Inverness Crematorium. All friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Afterwards, everyone is warmly invited to join Mr Vaughan's family at the Nethybridge Hotel from 1pm.
All are welcome to come along, whether they are able to attend the service at the crematorium. Donations, if desired, are being collected for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA). Mr Vaughan is survived by his wife Alison and children Gordon, Colin, Stuart, Seoras and Molly, and grandson Lewis.
Police have been appealing for information on the accident.
Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley said after the incident: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died at this difficult time. "I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-cam of the area at the time to contact us." Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 2889 of May 10, 2025.
