Ilminster: A303 near Ilminster shuts after lorry crash
A crash occurred in Horton Cross, near Ilminster at 11.15am on the morning of Friday, May 2, 2025 leading to the A303 closing eastbound between the A30/A35 and A358. The crash involved a lorry that crashed, and the closure was put in place later to allow emergency services to recover the lorry safely. The National Highways reported the closure on social media, in a post it said: "The A303 is closed eastbound between A30/A35 and A358 Horton Cross, Somerset to facilitate recovery of a vehicle involved in an earlier collision."

According to the Avon and Somerset Police Team no one was injured during the collision and the road eventually reopened at 3.30pm. A spokesperson for the Avon and Somerset Police said: "It was a single-vehicle collision that happened at about 11.15am.
No injury.
"Road closure was later put in place while lorry recovered.
Road reopened at approximately 3.30pm."
