Live A10 Milton updates as air ambulance called to crash near with road closed
An air ambulance[1] has been called to a crash between a lorry and a taxi on the A10[2] in Cambridgeshire[3]. The incident in Milton[4] took place on the northbound carriageway, towards Ely[5], on Thursday (May 1). Cambridgeshire Police[6] officers were called just after 1pm.
Road ambulance crews are also at the scene. A spokesperson for the force said at approximately 2.24pm: "We were called at just after 1pm this afternoon (Thursday) with reports of a collision on the A10 at Milton between a taxi and a lorry. The location is the northbound carriageway heading towards Ely.
"The incident is still very much ongoing - all emergency services in attendance, including air ambulance. We are not clear on level of injuries at the moment." The East of England Ambulance Service[7] has been approached for more information.
The road has been closed. Cambridgeshire County Council reported just after 1.40pm: "Delays in both directions, mostly southbound, of around a mile due to reports of a road traffic collision. Please allow extra time for your journey."
