Car driver suffers 'serious injuries' as police make appeal
Cheshire Police has released a statement on this morning's crash. Officers say they responded to reports of a collision between a car and a truck at 6am. The force has confirmed the driver of the car is in Leighton Hospital with what officers have described as 'serious injuries'.
A spokeswoman said: "Police were called to reports of a collision on the M6 between junction 16 and junction 17, near Sandbach. Officers attended and found the collision involved a car and a HGV. The driver of the car sustained serious injuries and has been taken to Leighton Hospital for treatment."
