Lorry plunge from M90 bridge sparks urgent safety review as driver fights for life
An urgent safety review has been called for after a lorry driver was seriously hurt when his vehicle plummeted 40ft from a flyover at the M90 in Perth.[1] The 38-year-old HGV driver is said to be in a critical condition after the cab and trailer plummeted[2] onto the A912 Perth-Bridge of Earn road on Tuesday at 7.30am while travelling south. A similar incident occurred in November 2021[3] when Kenneth Cheyne (55) from Turriff, Aberdeenshire, was killed after his lorry, travelling towards Broxden, fell from a nearby flyover.
