Lorry plunges from motorway bridge and lands on its roof on dual-carriageway

A lorry has fallen from bridge onto a dual carriageway below. There is a major emergency service response following the shocking crash in Scotland.
The HGV went through a barrier and plunged from the M90 flyover at the Craigend Interchange in Perth and landed on its roof on the on the A912 below.
Crews, including paramedics, police, firefighters and trauma response units, were scrambled to the scene at around 7:30am this morning (Tuesday, May 6).
The driver of the lorry was airlifted to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Their condition is unknown, the Daily Record reports.[1]
The road remains closed as an investigation is ongoing.
It is understood several nearby roads are closed as police carry out investigation work.
Article continues belowA Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 07:30 to attend an incident at the Craigend Interchange near Perth.
Two ambulances, an air ambulance, a trauma team, a special operations response team (SORT) and a resuscitation rapid response unit (3RU) were dispatched to the scene.
"One patient was transported to Ninewells Hospital."
A Police Scotland statement said: "The M90 slip road heading southbound from Broxden is closed at Craigend, and the A912 is closed in both directions following a report of a road crash at 7.30am.
"Emergency services are at the scene."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A lorry has come off the road on the M90 southbound at the Craigend Interchange.
"Six fire appliances and a heavy rescue unit were asked to attend the incident at around 7.30am.
"Crews received a stop message at 8.22am."
