M25 crash involving BMW and lorry sees motorist hospitalised
Police were called to the motorway at 7.17am after receiving reports of the smash near junction 20, which caused long delays on the A41 southbound between Hemel Hempstead and the M25. According to a force spokesperson, a white BMW and lorry collided as they were heading towards junction 19. The car driver has been taken to hospital as a precaution, while police also confirmed that blocked lanes were cleared at around 9am.
In a social media post earlier in the morning, Hertfordshire Highways had urged drivers to avoid the queue amid long delays, warning that emergency services were in attendance.
