Man seriously injured after van crash on North Devon link road
A man has suffered serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Devon this morning, Monday, May 19. Emergency services were called to the scene where a van and a car collided on the A361 North Devon[1] link road near Landkey at around 11.35am. Police, fire and ambulance crews were called.
One man is in a critical condition and another man suffered minor injuries, police said. The A361 was closed in both directions is expected to remain shut for some time. Drivers were warned to avoid the area and find alternative routes where possible.
Follow our blog here for the latest updates.[2] A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the A361 near to Landkey Junction, Barnstaple[3]. "Officers were called at 11.35am today, 19 May, following the collision between a car and a van.
Ambulance the fire service are also on scene. "One man is in a serious condition. A second man has sustained injuries, believed to be minor, and has been taken to hospital.
"The road is closed in both directions and is expected to remain shut for some time.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being."
