Man taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after Gwynedd crash
A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash last night (Tuesday). The single-vehicle crash happened on the A487 between the Griffin Industrial Estate and Blaen Cefn Caravan Park Penrhyndeudraeth, with the road shut while emergency services worked at the scene. A North Wales Police[1] spokesperson said: "Police were called at 23:36 to a report of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle (white Vauxhall Corsa) on the A487.
Emergency services attended including the air ambulance. "Male driver was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd[2] by road ambulance with serious injuries. Recovery was requested for the vehicle and we passed the road closure to the local authority."
Early this morning, the police released a statement which said: "The A487 is closed between the Griffin Industrial Estate and Blaen Cefn Caravan Park Penrhyndeudraeth due to a road traffic collision. The road will be closed for some time. Please use other routes."
