‘Number of vehicles damaged’ and man in Royal Stoke as crash shuts road
Police and paramedics were called out to a smash that saw 'a number of vehicles damaged' and left a man in hospital. Emergency services were called out to the A534 on the outskirts of Haslington to reports of a collision between a car and a van. However Cheshire Police[1] say a 'number of vehicles' were damaged as a result of yesterday's 4.40pm smash.
And during the height of the incident the road was shut off between the roundabouts at Wheelock and Crewe Green. Now officers say one patient was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital[2] following the smash near to Clay Lane. A spokesman for the constabulary said: "Police were called to reports of a collision on the A534 near to the junction of Clay Lane.
Officers attended and found there had been a collision between two vehicles, a car and a van. A number of other vehicles were also damaged as a result of the collision. One person, a man, was injured as a result of the collision and taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-changing."
