Pedestrian, 85, dies after being struck by lorry in Ayrshire

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the A76 near New Cumnock, Ayrshire. The incident happened around 3.45pm on Thursday, May 1, at Castle and involved a white DAF articulated lorry and a pedestrian. Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, an 85-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lorry driver was not injured.
