Police appeal after hit-and-run on M1 motorway
South Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses of a hit-and-run crash on the motorway near Barnsley.
On 15 January at 06:20 GMT, a white van reportedly collided with a white Iveco S-Way 460 lorry, close to Junction 36 on the M1.
Police say the white van left the scene and drove off in the direction of Birdwell, in Barnsley.
The driver of the lorry was not injured but substantial damage was caused to the vehicle.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Since the incident, enquiries - including CCTV trawls - have been ongoing.
Officers would now like to speak to anyone who saw what happened, and are particularly keen to hear from anyone with relevant dashcam footage of the incident."
