Police appeal after person dies in road crash on the A44

Dyfed-Powys Police[1] have said they are investigating a two-vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred on the A44 road at Sweet Lamb in Mid Wales[2], at 3.50pm on Friday, May 2. The force said the collision involved a white Ford Transit van and a Triumph motorcycle. A statement confirmed that the rider of the motorcycle sadly died as a result of the collision.

The force said the victim's family had been told and trained police officers are providing support. The road was closed throughout the afternoon and evening on May 2, and re-opened just after 1am the following day. A spokesman for the police said: "Anyone with information that could help with the investigation, including anyone who was travelling along the road at the time with dashcam footage, is asked to report it to police via our website[3] by e-mailing [email protected],[4] or calling 101 - quoting reference 290 of May 2.
