Two suffer potentially life-changing injuries in Stonehenge crash

Two people have suffered potentially life-changing injuries following a serious crash on the A360 next to Stonehenge in Wiltshire. A collision occurred between a van and a motorcycle at around 11.20am this morning (Sunday, May 11) near the attraction's visitor centre. Wiltshire Police confirmed that the rider of a motorcycle, a man in his 60s, and the pillion passenger, a woman in her 70s, were both taken to the hospital.

They were riding in a Harley Davidson and the second vehicle involved was a Volkswagen Transporter. The driver of the van was uninjured. The road, between the B3086 (Airman's Corner) and A303 (Longbarrow Roundabout), remained closed in both directions to allow for enquiries and the recovery of the vehicles to be conducted.

The full statement from the force reads: "Two people have been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries following a collision between a van and a motorcycle on the A360 this morning (11/05). "At around 11.20am, we responded to a collision between a Volkswagen Transporter and a Harley Davidson on the A360 between Longbarrow Roundabout and the Stonehenge Visitor Centre. "The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 60s, and the pillion passenger, a woman in her 70s, were both taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.

"The driver of the van was uninjured.

The road remains closed in both directions to allow for enquires and recovery of the vehicles to be conducted."
