Fire service issues statement on overturned livestock box

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service has issued an update on an overturnd cattle box. The incident happened on Monday at around 10.30am on the M4 near Pont Abraham roundabout. A statement from the servic reads: "At 10.38am on Monday, May 12 the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ammanford and Llanelli Fire Stations were called to an incident along the M4, westbound, near the Pont Abraham roundabout.

"Crews responded to a road traffic collision involving one pick-up truck towing one livestock box. The livestock box, which was carrying three cows, had overturned and was on its side. "Crews were involved in making the scene safe and assisted with transferring the cattle to a spare trailer that had been brought to the scene.
