A15 live updates as police issue alert after two-car crash near Lincoln

A section of the A15[1] has been closed due to a road traffic collision.[2] Lincolnshire Police closed the A15 at the Hall Lane junction in Lincoln following a two vehicle collision on Friday, June 27, at around 11am. Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes due to the closure. An update from the force states: "We have closed a section of the A15 for the second time this morning following a collision on the A15 close to the Hall Lane junction in Lincoln.

"Officers are at the scene dealing with a two-vehicle collision. We are advising motorists to seek alternative routes where feasible. We anticipate disruption while we deal with this incident."

This comes after a separate two-vehicle collision involving a car and van took place earlier today, shortly before 8am, near the Lincolnshire Showground. The A15 had been closed near the site until after 10am, as well as a number of side roads from the Riseholme roundabout.[3][4] An update was shared by Lincolnshire Police[5] shortly after 8.30am. It states: "We have closed a section of the A15 leading to the showground with a number of side roads also being closed from the Riseholme roundabout.

"Officers are at the scene dealing with a two-vehicle collision. We are advising motorists to seek alternative routes where feasible." It adds: "We anticipate disruption while we deal with this incident.
