A46 bypass re-opened nine hours after crash that left passenger seriously injured
The A46 bypass in Warwickshire has re-opened nine hours after crash that left a passenger seriously hurt. The southbound carriageway between the A45 at Coventry[1] and A452 at Kenilworth[2] was closed at just before 3am this morning (June 3). It followed a serious collision between a van and a HGV.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) confirmed that a passenger in the van was left seriously injured. Warwickshire[3] Police has since confirmed that the man, who is aged in his 20s, is being treated for a serious leg injury in hospital. The van driver, who has not been identified, was also taken to hospital.
