Appeal for Witnesses After Fatal Collision Near Andover on A30
Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision on the A30 near Leckford.

The incident occurred at the junction of Windmill Hill Lane and the A30 at approximately 8.34pm on Monday 9 June. It involved a silver Volkswagen Transporter van and a blue Honda motorcycle. Tragically, the rider of the motorcycle - a 19-year-old man from Andover - was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, a 45-year-old man from Alresford, has been arrested on suspicion of:
- Causing death by driving without due care and attention whilst unfit through drink
- Causing death by driving without due care and attention whilst unfit through drugs
- Driving while unfit through drink
- Driving while unfit through drugs
He remains in police custody while enquiries continue. As part of their investigation, officers are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle in the area beforehand. Police are especially interested in receiving any relevant dash cam footage.
