Car and lorry crash on M11 near Cambridgeshire

A lorry crashed on a major Cambridgeshire M-road earlier today (Friday, June 6). Cambridgeshire[1] Police were called to the M11 near Great Chesterford just before 12pm. The incident was a crash between a lorry and car. No one was injured in the crash.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.41am today (June 6) with reports of a collision on the northbound carriageway of the M11 near Great Chesterford. The collision involved a car and a HGV. "No injuries were reported." The East of England Ambulance Service also attended the scene, but they were stood down on arrival.

An ambulance spokesperson added: "This was non-injury and we were stood down on scene." There were three-miles of queues along the road as of 1.30pm.

Inrix, a traffic monitoring site said: "M11 Southbound partially blocked, queueing traffic for three miles due to accident after J9 A11."
