Chris Brown fans asked the singer to delay his concert at the Co-op Live arena after getting stuck behind a major crash on the M62[1] on Tuesday (June 24).
There were delays of three hours on the westbound carriageway, towards Manchester, after a lorry smashed into the central reservation with another becoming car wedged underneath.
All traffic was temporarily held following the collision as emergency crews raced to the scene. As of 7.30pm, there were still long delays with only two lanes operating to filter traffic past the scene.

The crash came as RnB singer Chris Brown was gearing up to perform to sell-out crowds at the Co-op Live arena on Tuesday evening. It was the third of his four-show stint at the venue in east Manchester as part of his Breezy Bowl XX tour.
During his last performance, the singer thanked the Greater Manchester jail he was held after being arrested for an alleged brawl in a nightclub.
The musician was arrested at Salford's five star Lowry Hotel[3] at 2am on May 15 after flying into the country to rehearse for his tour.
Article continues belowAhead of the show on Tuesday (June 24), fans took to X, formerly Twitter[4], to ask the venue and singer to delay the show due to them being stuck in the M62 congestion.
One fan tweeted: "@TheCoopLive really hoping that Chris Brown is delayed a bit. The traffic on the M62 is a nightmare, and we are going to be so late, despite leaving early."
Another posted: @TheCoopLive @chrisbrown can we delay Chris brown there's a crash on the M62!" as a third comment added: "@TheCoopLive Major delays on M62 following a major traffic collision - lots of people will not be arriving until late."

There were major delays of three hours after all traffic was held on the westbound carriageway near J22. Emergency services including police and paramedics raced to the scene at around 4pm.
A closure was originally put in place before two lanes were later reopened, with delays of three hours on the westbound carriageway during rush hour.
A lane was also closed on the eastbound carriagway.

Pictures also showed another vehicle, a Kia, which appeared to have been wedged underneath.
West Yorkshire Police later confirmed the crash was a 'damage-only' collision and that no injuries were reported.
