A crash between a motorbike and van has closed the A82 just south of Inverness. The accident at Lochend, reported at around 4.30pm, has forced the closure of the Loch Ness-side road in both directions from Drumnadrochit to Inverness while police investigate. Diversions have been put in place and drivers have been advised to avoid the area with emergency services in attendance.

It is not yet known whether there were any casualties.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The A82 is closed from Drumnadrochit to Inverness after a crash involving a van and a motorbike which was reported at 4.30pm on Thursday, 19 June, 2025. "Motorists can use the A831 or the A833 as an alternative route and are asked to avoid the area." Traffic Scotland also advised drivers to use an alternative route and should expect longer than usual journey times.
