Footage of aftermath of fuel spill on M62

John Baker captured the drone footage above the Winwick Road motorway bridge which goes across the M62. It shows work currently ongoing to repair the railings that a lorry collided with at 3am this morning, Friday. (Image: John Baker)And it also shows some of the fuel that leaked onto the carriageway below the bridge as a result of the crash.

The M62 remains closed both ways at junction 9, Winwick. And according to Cheshire Police, it is expected to remain closed for 'several hours'. Severe delays of around 60 minutes are in place on the M62, with heavy traffic being reported throughout the town too.
