Four injured as police attend three crashes in Cambs region over 24 hours

Four people have been left injured after Cambridgeshire Police[1] attended three crashes in the Fenland region on Thursday (June 5). Firefighters[2] were also called to one of the crashes, which saw a vehicle enter a water-filled ditch. The first crash involved two cars, a Ford Ka and a Nissan, on the A141 near Grandford Drove, March[3]. Two people were injured, as a Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson explained: "Both Drivers were taken to Hospital by ambulance with slight injuries and the vehicles were recovered.

"The road was closed while Cambridgeshire[4] Highways treated the road surface due to fluid on the carriageway." The second crash involved just one vehicle on March Road at Coldham. Police officers, firefighters and ambulances[5] attended as the vehicle had entered a water filled ditch.

No injuries were reported and the vehicle was recovered by the police.

The third crash took place on Somers Road in Wisbech[6], and involved a red Ford Fiesta and a van. A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson stated: "Slight injuries were reported at the scene and both drivers have been taken to hospital by ambulance for checks. "Both vehicles were also recovered by police officers at the scene."
